![]() Welcome to our wedding website! Michelle and I are very excited about starting our life together! We put this website up to give you, our family and friends, as much information as possible. We'll be periodically updating the site with news and pictures so come back and visit often. If you need to contact us about anything, our e-mail addresses and phone numbers are at the bottom of the page. See you soon! January 28th We finally have the pictures from the wedding. Thank you for patiently waiting. We changed over from hosting them ourselves on this website to putting the up in a Picasa album. What does this mean? Head over to the pictures page and I'll explain it in detail. Also, we have purchased a dining room table! Thank you, everyone, for all the generous gifts you gave us. We were completely overwhelmed with your generousity. Our love to all of you! In the next few months, we are going to change this site to be more focused on our day-to-day lives and less about the wedding. We'll keep the wedding site intact so we can reminisce, though. We look forward to sharing our lives with you, our friends and family. November 7th Hello everyone, it's the bride's turn to give an update! First of all, we've just passed 4 weeks until wedding day and we're both so excited! We're wrapping up many things and it really feels like it's all coming together. I've hired a day-of-wedding coordinator, Josh Borden, who was recommended to me by my friend Wanda Yang Temko. (Thanks Wanda!) Josh's job will be to worry about all those things we don't want to think about on our big day. Yesterday Adam and I bought his wedding band; it's made of palladium with scroll work etched in it to match my engagement ring. It's really beautiful. This week we'll be meeting with our officiant, Rev. Fr. Joe Barta, to finalize our ceremony and to get some tips on writing our own vows. That just leaves the tasting with the caterer and the rehearsal as the big things to worry about. Don't forget that your RSVPs should be submitted to us by now. If you haven't done so already, you can RSVP right here on our website and we'll get it instantaneously! We've put up a teaser photo from my vanity shoot a few weeks ago which can be seen in the Pictures section of the site. The finished photos will be posted online after the wedding so don't forget to come back and visit us! October 18th Everything is moving along very quickly now. We sent out the invitations this afternoon, a few weeks later than planned, but still with plenty of time before the wedding. Michelle had her vanity bridal shoot this past weekend. She went to a few different locations, with our photographer, Bryant and they came away with more than 350 photos. She is going to make her own entry here in the journal about that. October 1st We have made some good progress with the wedding. Michelle has picked a florist and chosen all the flowers. She got a very good deal. We also ordered the dress for our flower girl, my lovely niece, Emma. And finally, the invitations are ready to go to the printer. We should be sending those out in the coming week. September 27th We received a question about the time of the wedding. We will begin the ceremony at 5:30 PM. We expect it to take 20-30 minutes and then we'll have drinks and hors d'oeuvres for about 45 minutes while the room gets set up for dinner. September 10th We switched to a different caterer this weekend. The first caterer we tried to do business with was not practicing good business ethics. Our new caterer, A Southern Tradition, is much more laid back and easy-going. August 27th The honeymoon has been booked! Las Vegas, here we come! August 16th We just mailed out our "Save the Date" magnets. Expect to see those in your mailbox soon. I'll be working pretty hard throughout this weekend to get important information on the site for you. August 12th We had a second cake tasting and signed the contract. We're getting the cake from Perfect Wedding Cake. Michelle's maid-of-honor, Melissa came to the tasting with us and gave her stamp of approval. I'm not going to reveal everything, but suffice it to say, the cake people thought our ideas about shape were pretty unique. We still need to pick out a decorative pattern to go around the side of the cake, too. |
